How many times a day should I clean my dentures?

The basic rule is to take your denture out and clean it after every meal and before bed — about 3-4 times a day. Use a denture brush or a soft brush under running lukewarm water, and before sleeping, clean it and store it in water. Because dropping and breaking the denture is a common accident, it is safer to clean it over a sink filled with water or with a towel laid down. However, do not use toothpaste — its abrasives scratch the denture's surface.
