Denture

What should I do if my gums get sore after wearing dentures?

If you develop a sore on your gums, do not just put up with it — come in so we can adjust the inner surface of the denture in the painful area. One important point: for a day or two before your visit, even if it hurts, please keep wearing the denture for meals when you come in. If you leave the denture out, the pressure marks fade and it becomes hard to identify exactly where the problem is. However, if a sore does not heal within 2 weeks or keeps coming back in the same spot, there may be another underlying cause, so it is important to be seen by a dentist.
