Denture

Can I use toothpaste to clean my dentures?

You should not use toothpaste to clean your denture. The abrasives in toothpaste create tiny scratches on the denture's surface, and bacteria and stains build up in those grooves, leading to odor and discoloration. Instead, 1) brush it with a soft brush and a small amount of dish soap, 2) soak it in a denture cleaning solution (effervescent tablets), or 3) brush it with a denture brush under running water. However, hot water deforms dentures, so always use lukewarm water.
