Orthodontics

What should I do if my orthodontic rubber band breaks?

Simply replace it with a new one. Orthodontic rubber bands (elastics) are consumable supplies, so we usually give you extras, and it's enough to re-attach a new one in front of a mirror at the position you were shown. For hygiene, it's best to replace them with fresh ones once or twice a day. However, if you've run out of rubber bands, are unsure where to hook them, or haven't been able to wear them for several days, your tooth movement plan may go off track, so please contact the clinic and come in.
