Denture

Roughly how much do dentures cost?

For patients aged 65 and older, both complete and partial dentures are covered by national health insurance. At the standard 30% copay, the out-of-pocket cost is about 300,000-400,000 KRW per arch (upper or lower jaw). Medical Aid recipients pay even less: 5% for Type 1 and 15% for Type 2. As a rule, insurance covers a denture for the same arch once every 7 years. For patients under 65 or those who choose non-covered materials, the cost rises to 1,000,000-1,500,000 KRW or more. For partial dentures, additional costs may apply for crowns on the teeth that hold the clasps.
