Implant

How many implants are placed for a full-mouth implant case?

For patients with no remaining teeth, we typically place 6 to 10 implants in each of the upper and lower jaws and connect them with a bridge to restore full chewing function. The number can vary depending on the condition of your jawbone and the type of prosthesis, and alternatives that use fewer implants are also available, such as 1) full-arch restorations supported by 4 to 6 implants or 2) implant-supported dentures secured by 2 to 4 implants. We'll determine the appropriate number and method after checking your bone condition with a CT scan.
