Denture

After using dentures for a long time, can I switch to implants?

Yes, it is possible in most cases. However, long-term denture use gradually resorbs the jawbone, so bone grafting may be needed if there is not enough bone left, which extends the treatment timeline. The only way to know for sure is to check the remaining bone volume and quality with imaging such as a CT scan. Aside from replacing every tooth with implants, an overdenture that secures the denture using 2-4 implants is another option. If you are considering switching, it is best to come in for a consultation before further bone resorption occurs.
