Implant

How should I take care of my implant?

Implants need thorough daily brushing just like natural teeth, and using 1) an interdental brush, 2) dental floss, and 3) a water flosser together helps keep the area around the implant clean. Implants don't get cavities, but the gums around them can become inflamed (peri-implantitis), so we recommend a checkup every 6 months. However, if your gums become swollen or start bleeding, or if the implant feels loose, please visit us right away — don't wait for your next scheduled checkup.
