Can I get veneers while in orthodontic treatment?
The correct order is to place laminate veneers after orthodontic treatment is finished and your tooth positions are final. During orthodontic treatment, your teeth are continuously moving, so veneers made in advance may no longer fit your new alignment. The usual sequence is 1) complete orthodontic treatment, 2) stabilize the alignment with a retainer, and 3) fabricate the veneers. (The order of steps 2 and 3 can vary.) However, if your goal is to improve the color or shape of teeth that are not part of the orthodontic treatment, it may be possible during treatment, so please discuss and plan with your orthodontist.
