Wisdom Tooth

I'm too scared of wisdom tooth extraction. Can it be done under sedation?

Yes, this is possible. If you have severe dental anxiety or the procedure will take a long time, such as with impacted wisdom teeth, we can perform the extraction under sleep (sedation) anesthesia. Unlike general anesthesia, which makes you completely unconscious, sleep anesthesia puts you in a light sedated state where you remember almost nothing of the procedure, so you can have it done comfortably. You will need to fast for about 6 hours beforehand, and since you cannot drive afterward, it is safest to come with a companion. However, certain systemic conditions or medications can make sleep anesthesia inadvisable, so a prior consultation is needed.
