It's normal for implants combined with bone grafting to take longer to heal than standard placement, because the surgical area is more extensive. Swelling and discomfort typically subside gradually over 1 to 2 weeks, and the grafted bone takes about 3 to 6 months to integrate. However, please visit us promptly for an examination if 1) swelling or pain doesn't ease even after 2 weeks, 2) graft particles keep coming out, or 3) pus or fever develops, as these may indicate infection.
