Gum healing after an extraction typically takes about 2-3 months, and a temporary denture reduces the inconvenience of being without teeth during that period. It is especially common for visible areas such as the front teeth and during full-mouth implant treatment. However, since it is meant only as a temporary solution, it tends to loosen and wear down easily, so it should be replaced according to the schedule for your final prosthesis.
