For 48 hours after whitening your teeth stain easily, so avoid deeply colored foods such as coffee, curry, wine, and cola, and avoid smoking. Sensitivity for a day or two right after whitening is common; lukewarm water and a toothpaste for sensitive teeth help ease it. However, if sensitivity lasts more than 3 days or pain concentrates in one tooth, please come in to have it checked.
