Periodontal

I have bleeding and sensitivity after gum treatment. Is this normal?

Yes, this is a natural, temporary reaction right after treatment. As the inflamed tissue is removed, you may see some blood when brushing or feel sensitivity to cold water for a few days, and it usually improves gradually over 1-2 weeks. To help the healing, we recommend 1) brushing thoroughly with a soft toothbrush, 2) avoiding very cold or hot foods for a while, and 3) using any prescribed mouth rinse as directed. However, if the bleeding or sensitivity continues - or gets worse - for more than 2 weeks, please come in for a check.
