How long do veneers last?
Laminate veneers typically last about 7 to 10 years, and with good care they can last even longer. To extend their lifespan, it helps to 1) avoid biting hard foods with your front teeth, 2) have regular checkups every 6 months to check the bonding, and 3) wear a night guard if you have a teeth-grinding habit. However, if a veneer chips or comes off and is left untreated, the tooth underneath can be damaged, so please visit us right away so we can determine whether it can be re-bonded or needs to be remade.
