Esthetic/Whitening

How long do whitening results last?

The whitening effect varies with your eating habits but generally lasts about 6 months to 1 year. To extend the duration, it helps to 1) brush or rinse with water immediately after consuming darkly colored foods like coffee, wine, or curry, 2) quit smoking, and 3) do a retouch (touch-up whitening) every 6 to 12 months or combine with at-home whitening. If you frequently eat foods with strong pigments, your teeth may darken sooner. The gradual return of color over time is a natural process, and a retouch is often shorter than the initial whitening.
