Wisdom Tooth
The tooth in front is sensitive after my wisdom tooth extraction.
This is a natural symptom caused by temporary exposure of the molar root that the wisdom tooth had been covering. As the gum fills in at the extraction site, it usually decreases gradually over 2 to 4 weeks. In the meantime, avoid irritating it with very cold food and use a toothpaste for sensitive teeth. However, if the sensitivity lasts more than a month, gets worse, or is joined by pain when chewing, it may be a cavity or a nerve problem in that tooth, so please come in to have it checked.
