Are dentures also covered by insurance?

Yes, from age 65 both complete and partial dentures are covered by the National Health Insurance. Your co-payment is 30% of the treatment fee, and coverage applies once every 7 years per jaw (upper or lower). Maintenance such as repairs and adjustments after the denture is fitted can also be covered separately, within an annual limit on the number of visits. However, if the same denture has to be remade within 7 years, it is not covered unless there are special circumstances, so we will confirm exactly what applies to you after an examination.
