My crown doesn't feel right. Can it be adjusted?

Yes, if the crown feels too high when you bite, a simple bite adjustment can usually fix it, and this is typically resolved in a single visit. 1) If the height is too high — bite adjustment is possible. 2) If there is a gap or it feels loose — re-cementation or a new crown may be needed. 3) If pain on chewing continues even after adjustment — the nerve or root of the underlying tooth may need to be examined. Putting up with an ill-fitting crown can strain your jaw joint and opposing teeth, so please come in early when discomfort arises.
